Picked to guest-star with Ashley Leggat and Michael Seater in Shaftesbury Films' Vacation with Derek, a TV movie for the Family Channel by award-winning director Michael McGowan and based on the internationally successful kids' comedy series Life with Derek, distributed by Disney. In addition to this supporting role, my partner Wynn Holmes and I have choreographed the various dance scenes in the movie, which is scheduled to premiere during the Christmas 2009 season. I had an absolutely amazing time and was honored to work with everyone involved. Thank you.

Had a grand time surprising one of my best female fans with Vrak TV’s hit show, Fan Club. This high school student had sent a letter to the show requesting to meet me, so the good people of Fan Club decided to drive me to her school. We showed up at the end of an exam in front of her class and took her out for a private dance lesson. The episode should air some time in September. I’ll post it. -

Looks like I’ll be handing out an award at the 2009 MMVA. No idea yet in what category. What to wear? What to wear? The Bjork Oscar night swan outfit? J-Lo’s green Versace dress (the one with the double-sided tape where it matters)? Or something out of Marylin Manson’s closet? And will Bruno like it? Awards are stressful, but they give you free food. -

Just completed the first leg of the Pinup Saints Canadian tour, with pit stops at Montreal Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver for live shows and promotional appearances to let the world know about the release of our romantically raunchy album, Golden (exclusively available on iTunes). I only sing in showers with suitable acoustics, but the dancing choreographies for the tour were created by Street Parade, the dynamic duo composed of myself and Wynn Holmes, who also happens to be Pinup Saints’ lead singer. -

On July 1st, 2009, I performed at the Canada Day concert on Parliament Hill (Ottawa), sharing the stage with Sarah McLachlan, K'Naan, Juno Award nominees Shane Yellowbird and Gregory Charles and the rock group Les Respectables. What a difference from last year, when I can’t even remember how I celebrated this important event. -

Worked in a gorgeous film for the BRAVO! Channel about the life of legendary ballet dancer, Rudolf Nureyev. I’ve been put through some grueling ballet training by one of the toughest teachers I’ve ever encountered (she is Russian and should be a movie character herself). The film is produced by Peter Gentile and directed by Moze Mossanen It’s been an absolutely outstanding experience.
